What is a CFM and FMP Credential?
Members of the International Facility Management Association developed a voluntary certification program in order to create a definition of facilities management competence and a mechanism to measure that competence.
Earning a CFM designation assures competence in a number of disciplines. It establishes standards of international professional practice, and increases recognition for the value added to the profession.
IFMA also recognized the need for a designation for entry-level and transitioning facility professionals who do not yet have the hands-on experience required for obtaining the CFM.
A knowledge-based credential, the Facility Management Professional (FMP) is designed to accelerate an FM's transition into the profession.
How can I earn a CFM or FMP Credential?
The East TN chapter as a whole seeks to encourage Facilities Professionals to study for the CFM and FMP designations.
